Chipman Defeat Isn’t the End

Just because Chipman’s not in the running for the ATF job doesn’t mean he’s done. Nor does it mean anyone should expect The White House to give up on its gun control agenda. It’s important to remember what the Biden administration has already put into motion, what they vowed to do, and what gun control is demanding. This is also the first year of the Biden administration. There are still more than three years before voters will have an opportunity to demand a president that respects gun rights.

Sheriff Calls 2A Sanctuaries Example Of “Hug-A-Thug” Mentality

The purpose of a Second Amendment Sanctuary is simple: to ensure that no unconstitutional gun control laws will be enforced against those within the “sanctuary,” whether it’s a town, county, or a state. It’s not about going soft on criminals, but ensuring that responsible gun owners aren’t turned into criminals by enforcing laws that violate their right to keep and bear arms.

No, Chipman’s Nomination Was Never A Good Idea

Chipman was never a good idea. Anyone with half a brain should have looked at his record and realized he was a bad candidate for the job, especially in a day and age when the position requires confirmation (which probably wasn’t the smartest move anyone could have made). -- Now, though, all of that is a moot point. Chipman will go back to disparaging gun owners to score cheap points and we’ll begin this process anew.

Boston Suburb Wants To Quarantine Gun Stores

Gun stores have become a big issue in the bedroom communities surrounding Boston over the past few months, and now one suburb is taking steps to restrict where firearm retailers can operate. Members of the Select Board in Brookline, Massachusetts are hoping to avoid a legal fight by not imposing a blanket ban on gun stores, as some activists have demanded. Instead, they’re proposing to quarantine gun stores away from the general population by confining their potential existence to a few blocks inside the city limits.

White House Loses & Will Withdraw Chipman ATF Nomination

In a major defeat for Joe Biden and the gun prohibition lobby, the Washington Post and other news agencies are reporting that the White House will withdraw the nomination of avowed gun control advocate David Chipman to head the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

White House planning to withdraw ATF nominee

The White House is planning to withdraw David Chipman's nomination to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, according to three sources close to the process.

Chipman is currently a senior policy advisor to Giffords, a gun control group, and faced an uphill battle to Senate confirmation as President Joe Biden's point person on firearms regulation. Sen. Angus King (I-Maine) had previously told the Biden administration and Senate Democrats that he was not supportive of the nominee. Other moderate Democratic senators, including Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Jon Tester of Montana, have also remained noncommittal on the pick.

Michigan Men Try To Get Their Guns Back From Sheriff

Gun confiscation can come in many forms. It’s not necessarily going to be jackbooted thugs kicking in your door to take your guns away. It could be as simple as law enforcement finding more and more reasons to seize guns from law-abiding citizens, then refusing to give them back.

Texas Really Pissed Liberals Off With This 2nd Amendment Bill

Texans are no longer required to obtain a state license in order to carry a concealed firearm in public, causing an increase in the number of people who choose to skip the training process, gun experts report.

The bill that cut back the requirements, H.B. 1927, known as the constitutional carry law, took effect Wednesday. One Texas Republican touted it as doing away with an “artificial barrier” to citizens' constitutional right to bear arms.

Before Sept. 1, Texas residents who purchased a gun and wished to carry it in a concealed manner were required to obtain a state license, even though they were legally permitted to carry a gun openly in public without a license.

“Through Aug. 31, if you wanted to carry a handgun in Texas, you had to get a background check, you had to get training in safety and laws, and you had to determine some proficiency,” announced Gyl Switzer, executive director for Texas Gun Sense.

CDC Director To Restart Gun Research Amid Spate Of Mass Shootings

For the first time in decades, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will restart research into the gun violence epidemic across the U.S. CDC researchers will be on a mission to collect enough data to enable the agency to create solutions to prevent gun-related deaths, accidental gun deaths, and/or suicides.

CDC director Rochelle Walensky spoke with CNN over the weekend and revealed her new plan to research guns and gun-related violence.

CDC to Spend Millions of Taxpayer Dollars on Gun ‘Health Threat’

President Biden’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is gearing up to spend millions of taxpayer dollars fighting the “serious public health threat” posed by gun violence.

CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky referenced gun crime in various cities and said, “Something has to be done about this. Now is the time — it’s pedal to the metal time,” CNN reported.

“The scope of the problem is just bigger than we’re even hearing about, and when your heart wrenches every day you turn on the news, you’re only hearing the tip of the iceberg. We haven’t spent the time, energy and frankly the resources to understand this problem because it’s been so divided,” she added.

"Puzzle Pieces All Laid Out" - How ATF Has Plan To Classify Semi-Automatic Rifles As "Machine Guns"

What is Going on With Gun Control Right Now in 2021?

Just a general warning. The statements presented may start to sound like a conspiracy theory, but I promise you, dear reader, it is not.

There's been much talk at the range recently about the new proposed gun control by the Biden Administration. Many people are perplexed. We get a ton of questions, emails, and phone calls asking, "Will this affect me?", "What can I do?", "Why are they doing this?" among others.

I want to answer these questions as best as I can. We've been in the firearms industry here at TMGN since 2013 and have had a shop & range since 2015, so we've seen tons of changes from different administrations. There is a clear agenda here, and I'm reasonably sure most gun owners are going to be a little unhappy with the information I'm about to deliver.

Democratic Bill Would Ban 3D Printing Firearm Schematics

Sen. Ed Markey’s (D-Mass.) little-known 3D Printed Gun Safety Act (S. 2319) would criminalize sharing firearm schematics for 3D printers online.

3D printing describes a process that allows people to “print” 3D models for various items. These models range from small tools, art projects, and shapes up to functional firearms. Critics of the practice have called these 3D-printed firearms “ghost guns” because they lack serial numbers and are difficult for law enforcement to trace.

Despite their relative novelty, 3D-printed firearms have a rich legal history.

In 2018, Congress passed the Export Control Reform Act (ECRA), a foreign policy bill designed to restrict enemies’ access to U.S.-made munitions.

The Second Amendment Is About Rifles Not Racism

Below are my thoughts on academic work claiming that the Second Amendment is a relic of slavery. The reframing of the debate follows a familiar pattern in academia. Indeed, the same type of sweeping (and unchallenged) generalities was used recently to declare Olympic surfing a relic of American imperialism. The framing of such claims often precede any search for the facts. However, academics know that there is an eager and unquestioning audience for such publications. Conversely, those academics challenging such claims risk isolation and shunning in today’s intolerant environment. What is most striking about this latest claim is that it is directly and comprehensively contradicted by historical sources. Yet, there are relatively few academics who have publicly challenged the claims as media heralds the theory as a type of breakthrough publication. As discussed earlier, the theory is neither new nor well-founded.

Rare Breed Triggers Fires Back At ATF, Says "Will Not Comply"

Lawrence DeMonico, president of Rare Breed Triggers (RBT), brought everyone up to speed in a new video statement regarding the lawsuit filed by RBT against the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), Department of Justice (DoJ), and Attorney General (AG). He addresses the ATF's attempted to redefine the term "machine gun" to apply it to RBT's FRT-15 semi-automatic trigger in contradiction to federal law (Gun Control Act and National Firearms Act).

On July 27, DeMonico said the ATF Tampa Field Division, accompanied by a government attorney, personally served him and his attorney with a cease and desist letter, informing him that his FRT-15 trigger had been classified as a "machine gun." The letter went on to say that RBT needs to halt all manufacturing and sales of the FRT-15 and discuss a strategy to address the triggers that have already been sold.

Biden Bans Importation of Russian Ammunition in Backhanded Swipe at Gun Owners

President Joe Biden’s State Department announced it would deny all importation permits for ammunition manufactured in Russia on Friday, with the department citing the alleged 2020 poisoning of Russian political dissident Aleksy Navalny.

The ammo ban serves as a de facto punishment for American gun owners for alleged corruption and misconduct on the part of the Russian government. Ammunition manufactured in Russia has consistently been the cheapest available since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in 2019, with brands such as Tula and Wolf offering steel-cased rounds in the .223 caliber at prices well below their western competitors. Steel-cased ammo is easier to manufacture than rounds cased in materials such as copper.

ATF Now Labels FRT-15 A Machine Gun, Turning Law Abiding Citizens Into Criminals

NRA's 'unabated' corruption justifies shutting it down, New York says

The National Rifle Association has failed to root out rampant internal corruption, even after a bankruptcy case designed to avoid that obligation was thrown out, New York Attorney General Letitia James said in a court filing seeking to dissolve the gun rights group.

In an amended complaint filed on Monday, James said the NRA’s concealment of questionable transactions, awarding perks to longtime Chief Executive Wayne LaPierre and other insiders, disregard of good governance, and evasion of accountability have “continued unabated” since she sued the nonprofit last August.

The amended complaint was filed after U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Harlin Hale in Dallas dismissed the NRA’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case in May, calling it an improper effort to gain an “unfair litigation advantage” and avoid James’ oversight.

BREAKING: Trump Congratulates Missouri Gov For Pardoning McCloskeys, Who Defended Themselves From BLM With Guns

45th President Donald Trump issued a statement congratulating Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, a Republican, for having the courage to pardon U.S. Senate candidate Mark McCloskey and his wife. The McCloskeys gained national fame last year, when they used firearms to defend their home from a trespassing mob of Black Lives Matter protesters during the heat of the George Floyd-inspired riots that gripped America for much of 2020.

“Congratulations to Governor Mike Parson of Missouri for having the courage to give Mr. and Mrs. Mark McCloskey a full pardon,” wrote President Donald Trump earlier today. “They were defending their property and if they had not done what they did, their property would have been completely destroyed and they would have been badly beaten, or dead—great going Mike!” Parson pardoned the McCloskey family earlier this month, and the couple is now suing to regain rightful ownership of their confiscated firearms.

AR-15 owners may have to submit fingerprints, register guns and more under new House bill

The move would force owners to be put on a federal registry, submit fingerprints, photos, notify law enforcement officers and wait over nine months for approval, as well as pay a $200 tax, in accordance with National Firearms Act requirements.

Yes, the proliferation of game animals is a big part of our American heritage, but it wasn’t the deer the framers of the Bill of Rights were worried about protecting the people from. This is relevant because there have been more than one leftist progressive member of the anti-freedom caucus try to equate gun rights to our ability to hunt. There is also a push that would outlaw hunting in Oregon. What do some champions of gun rights have to say about hunting and the right to keep and bear arms?

Mexico Sues US Gun Makers For "Arming The Drug Cartels" In Unprecedented Federal Filing

"Guns don't kill people, the cartels do..." or so we thought. Perhaps we could add corrupt government and police officials do too, by facilitating or turning a blind eye to the soaring violence which has long made Mexico rank within the top 20 most dangerous countries in the world based on murder rate.

But apparently Mexico officials think it's in reality the US gun companies to blame for fueling the violence with their products. Bloomberg reports Wednesday, "Mexico filed a lawsuit in a U.S. court Wednesday against Smith & Wesson Brands Inc., Glock Inc., Sturm, Ruger & Co. and other major gun manufacturers, accusing them of contributing to gang violence south of the border."

The companies stand accused of wreaking havoc in Mexican society "by persistently supplying a torrent of guns to the drug cartels," according to the civil suit filed in a Massachusetts federal district court.

Mexico Launches $10-Billion Lawsuit Against U.S. Gun Makers

Taking a page from gun control activists, the Mexican government is now suing several U.S. gun companies in federal court in an attempt to pin the blame for cartel violence on American-made firearms. Smith & Wesson, Glock, Barrett Firearms, Colt, Sturm Ruger, and Beretta are all named in the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Boston on Wednesday, which alleges that the companies are making guns that they know will end up in the hands of drug cartel members south of the border. -- The Mexican president won’t declare war on the drug cartels, but instead he’s declaring war on U.S. firearms manufacturers. It would be nice if we had an administration that would push back, perhaps with sanctions on the country for failing to stop the cartels from exporting drugs to the United States, but with Biden in the White House its far more likely that the administration will end up rooting for the Mexican government to see success in our federal courts.

Why Biden’s New Eviction Moratorium Should Worry Gun Owners

I’d like to believe that if the administration was bold enough to try this scheme, the courts would quickly shut down their plans, but there’s no guarantee of that happening. And now that Biden himself has demonstrated that pandering to the Democratic base is more important than safeguarding the Constitution, I’d say the odds of his administration trying at some point to put his gun ban into effect without a vote in Congress just went up considerably.

Durbin Nixes Second Hearing For Chipman As Dems Circle The Wagons

It’s only remarkable if you think the Washington Post’s editorial board wants to inform readers about why Chipman has yet to get the backing of all 50 Democrats in the Senate. If, on the other hand, you believe the Post’s editorial board exists to advance the Democrats’ agenda, then the fact that paper is ignoring these allegations is completely unsurprising. -- Of course, if the media won’t accurately and honestly report on Chipman’s troubles as a nominee, just imagine what they’d be willing to ignore if Chipman is actually confirmed as permanent director of the ATF. Gabby Giffords Marks 10th Anniversary of Return to Congress, Pushes Gun Control that Did Not Stop Her Attacker

Giffords was shot in Tucson, Arizona, on January 8, 2011. She returned to Congress on August 1 of that same year.

On March 4, 2015, Breitbart News pointed out that Gifffords’ attacker passed a background check to acquire the gun he used in the heinous act. Even as little as DeWine’s bill seeks to accomplish, it’s still more than Ohio lawmakers care to bother with. -- And I believe we’re going to find that more and more states will be right behind Ohio. Is The Second Amendment Racist? Some “Thinkers” Tell Us It Is

This new attack against the Second Amendment is predicated on the inane theory that the right of the people to keep and bear arms was created by Racist white men to keep oppressed black men enslaved. This idea is of a piece with everything else that Neo-Marxists fault America for: the entirety of our Nation’s history, heritage, and culture that they seek to tear down, to pave the way for the shell of what it remains of a once-proud, powerful, and wealthy and healthy, and exuberant independent, sovereign Nation and a free, sovereign people, to be merged into a transformative, transnationalist, Neo-Marxist, Globalist political, economic, social, and cultural governmental scheme, reducing the citizenry as a whole to a sad existence of poverty, misery, and, curiously enough, slavery, too.

Democrat Joe Biden's nominee to run the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has a long history of anti-Second Amendment activism.

Remington Reaches Historic $33 Million Settlement With Families Of Sandy Hook Victims

Remington and the families of nine victims from the Sandy Hook school massacre, the second-deadliest school shooting in US history, have reached a settlement that was years in the making: the gun-maker and manufacturer of the Bushmaster AR-15 used by shooter Adam Lanza will pay a total of $33MM. Divided up among the families, that comes to $3.66MM each (before the lawyer's cut). The families insist the money is no substitute for the brutal killing of their loved one.

According to Reuters, the settlement must still be approved by the Alabama judge overseeing the Remington bankruptcy case. The plaintiffs allege that Remington's marketing contributed to the shooting. In a February court filing, the plaintiff's legal team argued that the value of their claims could exceed $1 billion, including punitive damage - a pretty obvious negotiating tactic.

New San Jose Gun Law Punishes Law Abiding, Not Criminals

San Jose’s “innovative” gun control law won’t actually do much of anything to combat the growing crime in the city. After all, the bad guys won’t be paying any fees or getting insurance.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried Suspends Concealed Weapons Permits For 22 Capitol Protesters

Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried (D) on Tuesday announced she was suspending the concealed weapons permits of 22 Floridians charged in connection with the Jan 6 Capitol protest.

"I just suspended the concealed weapons permits of 22 people involved in the insurrection against the United States of America instigated by Donald Trump on January 6, 2021," Fried announced on Twitter.

ATF Wants To Create 40 Million New Felons Overnight

See, the thing you have to remember is that gun owners are law-abiding citizens…up until you push them too far. Everyone has a line in the sand, and when it comes to the gun crowd, that line may well be right here and now. -- Should the ATF decide to change the rules yet again, don’t be surprised if a lot of people simply decide not to comply Sometimes, the only difference between an honest man and an outlaw is how much pushing they can take.

Before Booting Biden, Look Over Horizon at Harris

Bottom line is Harris would be bad news, and not just for gun owners and the Second Amendment. -- Her tactic of answering questions she doesn’t want to answer by first being sarcastic and then breaking out into cackling laughter is wearing thin. That doesn’t mean she won’t continue doing it. -- Democrats have wanted to be the first party to put a woman in the White House. They missed the mark with Hillary Rodham Clinton, but they might score with Harris.

New Approach To Gun Control: It’s A National Security Issue

The truth is, so-called gun violence is actually a complex issue and gun control is a simplistic solution. That almost never works out the way people think it will. -- Especially when we know that law-abiding citizens with firearms can stop all kinds of horrible things from happening. From actual mass shootings–I’m really sick of people using Gun Violence Archive numbers so uncritically–to more pedestrian forms for violent crime. It’s gun ownership that’s key to national security, not stripping law-abiding citizens of their Second Amendment rights.

ACLU says Second Amendment is racist

According to the ACLU, “anti-Blackness” led to the Second Amendment’s inclusion in the Bill of Rights, and has led to the “unequal and racist application of gun laws.”

On the At Liberty podcast on July 16, Anderson said African Americans are viewed as a “threat” whether they’re armed or unarmed due to “anti-blackness.”

Seattle Democrats Ignore Gun Control Failures As Crime Rates Rise

Washington State residents are less safe now than they were before they approved that gun control package. Americans should learn from Washington’s example; restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms may offer the illusion of safety, particularly to those who don’t own any firearms, but their real impact is felt by responsible gun owners and not the violent criminals who are the supposed target.

ABC News Accidentally Gets It Right In Defining “Gun Problem”

High School Student Calls For Gun Safety Education In Schools

Right now, most Americans don’t have any firearm training. Some who served got it in the military. Others learned from their parents, but most got nothing. Meanwhile, a lot of those people are going to buy guns and some have a reason to be concerned about the lack of training. Yet rather than require it before someone can exercise their right to keep and bear arms, wouldn’t it make more sense to just make sure everyone learns it in school? -- It would also demystify guns, an act that will save a lot of lives all on its own.

Biden Official: Gun Access Prevents Stopping Domestic Terrorism

Teen Robber Shot By Chicago Gun Owner

With leadership like Lightfoot at the helm, no wonder more Chicagoans are embracing their right to carry, even with the lengthy delays imposed by the failure of the Illinois State Police to process Firearm Owner ID cards and concealed carry applications in a timely manner. In fact, if Lightfoot really wants to ensure the safety of the public, she should direct some of that $1.8-billion in forthcoming federal funds to grants that would help pay for concealed carry courses and licensing fees for Chicago residents. It’s clear that Lori Lightfoot can’t keep Chicagoans safe. The least she could do would be to make it a little easier for folks to protect themselves, just like the armed citizen in the Douglas neighborhood did during yet another violent weekend in the Windy City.

We Are Now Looking at 1,000 Shootings Per Week

When I pointed out recently that the Democrats are going to release the hounds to hunt down right-wingers and put them in torture camps, a reader claimed that I am schizophrenic, and his evidence was that I was “wrong” about the blacks going nuts this summer.

While it is true that we are not seeing Black Lives Matter riots, something which I did expect, it is also true that black crime is now at the highest rates in living memory.

We now have nearly 1,000 shootings per week.

Writer Gets First-Hand Look At “Success” Of New York Gun Control

We live in a nation with 100-million gun owners, more than 400-million firearms, and the right to keep and bear them. It’s the guy eager to jack up a family at a gas pump that we should be focused on.

Lightfoot Says Chicago ‘Can't Arrest Our Way' Out of Surge in Gun Violence

While Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot says more federal cooperation will be required to tackle the problem of gun violence in the city, she also emphasized that other investments will be key, saying that the city “can’t arrest its way” out of the issue.

Lightfoot, speaking during a press availability on Thursday afternoon, said that city officials are exploring different ways to invest in communities, and said that Chicago will focus on the city’s West Side, which has been ravaged by gun violence.

“It’s obvious: we cannot arrest our way out of this problem,” she said. “Fundamentally, if you look at the West Side and you look at the problems, the opioid addiction that is really harming so many individuals, families and communities, the investments we have to make in human capital and the investments we have to make in infrastructure, those are why I spend so much time on the West Side.”

Biden says he’s ‘pushing to eliminate’ some handguns

President Joe Biden said Wednesday during a CNN town hall that he is “continuing to push to eliminate” 9mm handguns, in addition to rifles, that are able to fire multiple rounds.

“I’m the only guy that ever got — passed legislation when I was a senator to make sure we eliminated assault weapons,” the president said. “The idea you need a weapon that can have the ability to fire 20, 30, 40, 50, 120 shots from that weapon, whether it’s a, whether it’s a 9mm pistol or whether it’s a rifle, is ridiculous.”

WATCH: Biden’s Nominee To Head ATF Mocks Gun Owners As ‘Crazy Zombie Apocalypse Preppers’

The most anti-gun Democrat party in history, allied with the most anti-gun administration in history, is no longer trying to conceal the ball. They are essentially saying to gun owners, “We’re coming for you.”

That’s why no one should be surprised when the GOP released a video of the current nominee for Director of the ATF, David Chipman, criticizing gun owners as crazed Zombie apocalypse preppers. Sure, I’m indignant, furious, and frustrated. But it doesn’t surprise me.

He urges gun owners to secure and lock their weapon and “hide it behind the tuna cans and beef jerky you have stored in the cabinet, and only bring it out if the zombies start to appear.”

Former police chief: Cuban citizens’ fight for freedom shows why we must protect the Second Amendment

The current situation in Cuba, where tens of thousands have been protesting against that country’s oppressive, communist government, provides a cautionary tale as to why the rights guaranteed to United States citizens under the Second Amendment is such an important right.

Cuba, which has rigorous gun control laws, is able to keep their knee on the throat of its citizens simply because they have no concern about the Cuban citizens’ ability to defend themselves.

In our country, we have the protection of the Second Amendment which was actually enumerated in the Bill of Rights as a means to guarantee all the other rights outlined in that group of 10 Constitutional amendments such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to be free from illegal searches and seizures, and so on.

Crime Research Update: It’s [Still] Not the Guns

An increase in criminal behavior just so happens to coincide with an increase in certain types of crime. Next, they’ll tell us that background checks don’t impact crime. -- That’s right – both criminals and from Wintemute and Webster, whose previous research determined that California’s universal background check law had no effect on homicide rates, have already proved this. -- It’s what we’ve been saying all along.

Right now, if Murthy calls efforts to point out Kellerman’s BS “misinformation,” you can bet that Silicon Valley will be censoring in moments.

Gun Sales Drop Significantly in June of 2021 (Explained)

The primary stated premise of the push for more restrictions on gun ownership and gun carry is “more guns, more crime”.  As that premise is proving false, the backup premise is “more guns more suicide”. -- That premise is also proving false. More guns do not create more violent crimes or more suicides. If they do, the numbers are too small to measure. -- The fact of record gun sales, record numbers of new gun owners, and millions of carry permits tells us very large numbers of Americans believe the utility of guns outweigh the risks, especially in uncertain times.

Gunmaker Halt Of "Block 19" Sales

We noted days ago how Danish toymaker The Lego Group sent a cease and desist letter to a US gunmaker for selling a Glock handgun kit that resembled Lego blocks. While Utah-based Culper Precision's "Block 19" Lego handgun has been pulled off shelves, we predicted that the 3D-printing community would begin printing their own Lego guns.

Come to find out Saturday, that's precisely what Redditor "chairmanjuan" on "r/guns" has done.

Crucial Components in the Creation of Successful 2nd Amendment “Sanctuary” States

Recently, Joel Osterhoudt of Reason published an interesting piece recognizing the rise in Second Amendment “sanctuary” states and cities across the nation. As Osterhoudt rightly recognizes, this movement largely relies on the model established by the immigration and marijuana sanctuaries that arose in progressive cities and states in response to the Trump Administration.

But in recognizing this important revelation in protecting individual rights, the article confuses two very distinct concepts—Anti-Commandeering and Nullification.

This isn’t just a mere academic dispute over legal terms created by and litigated in our legal system. The distinction is the difference between winning and losing. And while these states have placed themselves in a position to win, this confusion puts them in danger of losing—whether that be in a courtroom or the court of public opinion.

“Naysayers Blame Guns. It’s the Crime, Stupid…”

The media is getting a lesson on the dangers of getting ahead of the facts when it comes to their reporting. This time, they blamed gun buyers for the spike in crime. -- Turns out, law-abiding citizens who buy guns aren’t the ones committing crimes. They’re buying guns because of the rise in crime. Evidence Shows Gun Violence Cannot Be Stopped By Gun Control

There is no clear connection between the sharp increase in firearm sales last year and the near-equal rise in gun-related homicides, according to a new study published in Injury Epidemiology, a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

Julia Schleimer, the lead author of the study, told explained that the conclusions reveal that "we need to be looking at other factors, like job loss, economic change, the closure of schools and community organizations and nonprofits, and civil unrest," in order to learn what caused last year’s increase in gun violence.

New York Passes Law Opening Door for Lawsuits Against Gun Manufacturers

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday signed a law passed by the Democrat-controlled state Legislature that allows guns to be considered a public nuisance and opens the floodgates for lawsuits against gun manufacturers.

“The only industry in the United States of America immune from lawsuits are the gun manufacturers, but we will not stand for that any longer, Cuomo said in a news release.

The Second Amendment’s Right To Bear Arms: What It Means

When it comes to gun rights in particular, and the rights of the citizenry overall, the U.S. government has adopted a “do what I say, not what I do” mindset. Nowhere is this double standard more evident than in the government’s attempts to arm itself to the teeth, all the while viewing as suspect anyone who dares to legally own a gun, let alone use one in self-defense.
