Three physicians have found themselves being chastised by the medical establishment for questioning the safety of Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines. Their persecution aligns with a larger trend of doctors being smeared for opposing the narrative that the shots are “safe and effective.”
The doctors shared their story with the Epoch Times, outlining how medical boards penalized them for simply following the Hippocratic Oath.
Infamous for being one of the early adopters of vote-by-mail, Oregon always looks for ways to expand the methods that unscrupulous individuals can take advantage of the system. The latest example being a new law that allows ballots to be counted long after election night as long as the envelope was post marked for election day. That could even mean it was put in a postage box after 8:00 PM on election night. That could mean piles of extra ballots found sitting in a bin in some post office that employees “forgot about” until seven days after an election. In the event of a close race separated by only a few votes, that could mean the public would have to wait weeks for that election to be certified.
Megyn Kelly defended Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson from attacks by the media that have blamed his commentary and opinion for the recent Buffalo shooting.
As is practically protocol at this point, the media swiftly capitalized on the mass shooting by Payton Gendron, an 18-year-old, self-described “authoritarian leftist” and “white supremacist,” and tried tying it to Tucker Carlson and Fox News.
They didn’t do this when a Bernie Bro shot up a softball field full of Republican lawmakers back in 2017, nearly killing Representative Steve Scalise. They didn’t do it in Waukesha after the Christmas parade massacre. And they didn’t do it more recently with the New York subway shooter.
Why? Because those examples don’t fit their narrative.
Last week, prelaw student Caleb Francois of the George Washington University penned an op-ed arguing for changing the name of his university in the name of racial justice.
The fact that we live in a country where people are taught to hate our Founding Fathers is not the most bizarre aspect of this story, however.
The op-ed was published by none other than the Washington Post.
The irony that this piece would be published in a periodical that shares the same namesake that Mr. Francois so virulently detests wasn’t lost on anyone, except for, apparently, every employee at the Washington Post.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos took to Twitter this weekend to call out the Biden Administration’s role in causing record high inflation.
The feud began on May 13 when President Joe Biden tweeted, “You want to bring down inflation? Let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.” A comment that clearly struck a nerve with Bezos.
Bezos replied that perhaps Biden’s newly created Disinformation Board, a division of the Department of Homeland Security, should review Biden’s tweet.
If you’re a Trump supporter, you should know, with no one telling you, that criticizing patriotic Americans for being at the January 6th rally is a big no-no.
There were over 100K people at that event, which by all accounts was mostly peaceful.
Yes, there was an outburst, but given the number of people who were there, it was rather calm… and most of the people inside the Capitol were invited in by the cops and were very respectful, and behaved like tourists.
The only horrific incidents involved unarmed Trump supporters being killed by cops.
According to Newsweek, half of President Joe Biden’s followers on Twitter are fake bots and spam accounts. Biden currently has 22.3 million followers, meaning nearly 11 million are fake.
“SparkToro’s tool found that 49.3 percent of accounts following the official @POTUS Twitter account are ‘fake followers’ based on analysis of a number of factors, including location issues, default profile images and new users,” Newsweek reports.
“Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is currently trying to buy Twitter, has expressed concerns about the number of fake accounts and a potential crack down could see users such as Biden lose a huge number of followers,” the report adds.
“20% fake/spam accounts, while 4 times what Twitter claims, could be *much* higher,” Musk wrote on Twitter. “My offer was based on Twitter’s SEC filings being accurate. Yesterday, Twitter’s CEO publicly refused to show proof of <5%. This deal cannot move forward until he does.”
Elon Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO who plans to buy Twitter, said he will now vote Republican having "overwhelmingly" voted for Democrats in the past.
Musk, a registered independent voter who describes himself as moderate, made the remarks while speaking via video link at a tech summit in Miami, Florida, hosted by the All-In podcast on Monday, reported Insider.
The world's richest man, whose $44 billion takeover of Twitter in April is on hold pending information on spam accounts, described how the platform has a "very far-left bias" before saying he would classify himself as a moderate as he is "neither Republican nor Democrat."
Russian President Vladimir Putin has recently undergone surgery to remove fluid from his abdomen amid mounting speculation that his health is in decline, claimed an anti-Kremlin Telegram account.
Putin underwent the surgery Thursday night into Friday morning, according to the Telegram channel, “General SVR,” which purports to be run by a former Russian spy.
The channel further claims that Putin’s surgery and subsequent recovery was covered up the following day using “deepfake” technology to simulate his presence in videos of a scheduled meeting of Russia’s security council.
The claims made by “General SVR” have not been verified, and the Ukraine war has been marked by apparent propaganda efforts by both sides.
After two years in development at streaming giant Hulu, Hillary Clinton’s project “Rodham” has been given the no-go by the platform execs. The news comes as the television industry gathers for the upfront presentations from some of media’s major content players.
Hulu has passed on “Rodham,” writer-producer Sarah Treem’s adaptation of the 2020 Curtis Sittenfeld novel that’s been in development at the streamer since summer 2020. But 20th Television is still is shopping the project to other streamers, now that Claire Danes and Dakota Fanning are attached to play Clinton at different stages of her life. In the package, Treem will write and executive produce, and James Ponsoldt will direct, with “Handmaid’s Tale” producer Warren Littlefield’s Littlefield Co. behind it.
“Rodham” — published in May 2020, and a New York Times bestseller — imagined an alternative universe in which Hillary Rodham Clinton met and dated Bill Clinton at Yale Law School, but never married him. Instead of the life Clinton has actually led, in “Rodham,” she goes on to thrive as a Northwestern University professor, and launches an eventual presidential run in 2016. Real-world events — such as rape accusations against Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump as a significant figure in politics — also play out in Sittenfeld’s novel, but in vastly altered ways.

In a moment that would have made the progressive eugenicist Margaret Sanger proud, former Fed chair Janet Yellen extoled the virtues of high abortion rates among poor women, as they allow them to have higher labor force participation rates. Paraphrasing Sanger, who is the intellectual founder of the modern abortion industry, Yellen’s argument was plain: it is cruel for parents to bring children into a state of poverty; therefore, it is humane to incentivize abortion among the poor.
Special Counsel John Durham’s team in its opening argument Tuesday alleged that former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann used the FBI as "a political tool" to "manipulate" the bureau on the eve of the 2016 presidential election to create an "October surprise" against then-candidate Donald Trump — a plan that "largely succeeded."
Sussmann is charged with making a false statement to the FBI when he told former FBI General Counsel James Baker in September 2016 — less than two months before the presidential election — that he was not doing work "for any client" when he requested and attended a meeting with Baker where he presented "purported data and ‘white papers’ that allegedly demonstrated a covert communicates channel" between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, which has ties to the Kremlin.
A top Democratic operative says voter fraud, especially with mail-in ballots, is no myth. And he knows this because he’s been doing it, on a grand scale, for decades.
Mail-in ballots have become the latest flashpoint in the 2020 elections. While President Trump and the GOP warn of widespread manipulation of the absentee vote that will swell with COVID polling restrictions, many Democrats and their media allies have dismissed such concerns as unfounded.
But the political insider, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he fears prosecution, said fraud is more the rule than the exception. His dirty work has taken him through the weeds of municipal and federal elections in Paterson, Atlantic City, Camden, Newark, Hoboken and Hudson County and his fingerprints can be found in local legislative, mayoral and congressional races across the Garden State. Some of the biggest names and highest office holders in New Jersey have benefited from his tricks, according to campaign records The Post reviewed.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said on Monday that he wants the state, not local governments, to have control over Disney’s special district as he continues to feud with the entertainment company over its opposition to the education law he signed known by critics as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
DeSantis signed into law last month a bill that strips Disney’s long-held municipal autonomy at its Orlando-based theme parks. The move was undertaken in direct response to Disney’s opposition to Don’t Say Gay.
Disney officials have argued that the company needed its independence to build its own theme park and city, warning that the state of Florida will take on billions in debt if the situation changes.
Late last week The Gateway Pundit reported on the Biden Administration’s intention to turn over the country’s authority during pandemics to China.
The Biden administration, it appears, unless stopped immediately, is tee-ing up America to make it easy for the Chinese Communist Party to defeat it, and other nations, through biological warfare.
The World Health Organization (WHO), the organization that has unhesitatingly been doing China’s bidding during the COVID pandemic, is reportedly now planning to orchestrate a massive new power grab to internationally control the response to any future global pandemic. The plan is apparently to make the health of Americans dependent on the whims of China — which is both actively seeking to displace the US as the world’s leading superpower and has for years been working on new means of bio-warfare.
It is a plan that is being voted on next week: Congress and the American public need to fight vigorously — and FAST.
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) blasted President Biden during a recent appearance on Fox News while discussing a resolution he and GOP colleagues introduced to get Biden and his admin to focus on the real issues everyday Americans are facing.
“What our resolution is intended to do is to try to get the Biden administration to focus on those issues that moms and dads are worried about when they lie down to sleep at night and can’t,” Kennedy said. “Things like crime, things like the border, inflation, the baby food shortage.”
Producer Dinesh D’Souza announced on Monday his historic documentary “2000 Mules” is heading back to theaters on Friday.
“2000 Mules” will play at 400 theaters starting on Friday.
Twitter’s executive ranks continued to thin out Tuesday after three senior managers quit as the company has been thrown into turmoil by Elon Musk’s looming $44 billion takeover.
Ilya Brown, a vice president of product management; Katrina Lane, a vice president of Twitter Service, and Max Schmeiser, the head of data science, all handed in their resignations, according to Bloomberg News.
“We are thankful for all of their hard work and leadership,” a Twitter spokesperson told Bloomberg.
“We continue to be focused on providing the very best experience to the people on Twitter.”
An election integrity group has flagged a Georgia broadcasting company for accidentally posting tests election results ahead of next week's primaries but also suggests the mock results show "media bias."
"The results test page clearly should have never been made public," the group said. "News media organizations have accidentally released premature results before," said VoterGa, a nonprofit, nonpartisan group. "VoterGA wanted to find out where the bizarre results originate since they tend to show media bias in reporting."
The results were apparently removed from the WSB-TV election reporting site upon the company discovering, then deactivating the live link.
VoterGA was, however, was able to preserve most of the results that originally appeared at the site's link.
Video: 'Twitter does not believe in free speech': Undercover Project Veritas recording reveals Twitter engineer saying platform censors the right but NOT the left, everyone who works there is 'commie as f**k' and they 'hate' Elon Musk
Twitter engineer Siru Murugesan, while being filmed undercover by Project Veritas, said the company bias means they limit freedom of speech.
Remember the warnings underneath President Trump's Tweet's? Well, apparently, they were unique to him and other conservatives. A brazen White House lie was allowed to be tweeted out with no warnings, no qualifications and no 'misinformation' labeling. Even Biden-friendly CNN called them out. Maybe the DHS' new Truth Ministry should be notified.
The White House is meeting backlash after it wrongly argued in a tweet this week that "there was no vaccine available" for COVID-19 when Joe Biden took office last year. Yet, Twitter is silent regarding why that argument is still on the platform with no "misinformation" warning label.
On Thursday, the official White House Twitter account announced, "When President Biden took office, millions were unemployed and there was no vaccine available."
Western powers opposing Russia in Ukraine could be considered enemies waging a war against the state, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday. He pointed out that economic sanctions, the arming of Ukrainian nationalists, and giving them intel to attack Russian troops all amounted to acts of war.
“Sure, we are still using the mild term ‘unfriendly states’ when referring to them,” Peskov told an educational forum.
“But I would say they are hostile states, because what they do is war.”
He cited the decision to freeze Russian foreign reserves that the country kept in Western financial institutions and discussions about giving the money to Ukraine as an obvious attack on property rights, the cornerstone of Western civilization. “That was money that you and I own,” Peskov told the audience. “It was stolen from us, it is being stolen from us.”
Russia’s opponents are playing a more direct role in their attempts to hurt Russia in their “hybrid war,” the official said. “Not only American but also British military advisers are telling armed Ukrainian nationalists what they should do and provide intelligence to them,” he explained.
Russia’s lower house of parliament, the State Duma, is planning to discuss the potential withdrawal of the country from the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the World Health Organization (WHO), according to Pyotr Tolstoy, the vice speaker of the parliament.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a list of such agreements to the State Duma, and together with the Federation Council [upper house of parliament] we are planning to evaluate them and then propose to withdraw from them,” Tolstoy said on Tuesday.
The vice speaker said that Russia had already canceled its membership in the Council of Europe, and that leaving the WTO and WHO is next.
“Russia withdrew from the Council of Europe, now the next step is to withdraw from the WTO and the WHO, which have neglected all obligations in relation to our country,” he said.
If for some inexplicable reason, you couldn’t come up with a reason to be ashamed of the U.S., I’ve got one for you: Henry Kissinger has been a widely revered thinker and statesman for six decades, and is the recipient of awards like the Nobel Peace Prize (1973); Presidential Medal of Freedom (1977); and Medal of Liberty (1986).
I may soon write a long article to document at least some of Kissinger’s heinous catalog of criminality. For now, I’d simply like to clarify his ongoing role as a Godfather of sorts to all the other miscreants that make up the top 1%.
I mean, the esteemed HK has his own damn page on the World Economic Forum (WEF) website and has been mentoring the notorious Klaus Schwab for decades. In the photo up top, Kissinger and Schwab openly plot for us to “have nothing” and “be happy.”
Entrepreneur and business magnate Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, said the "obvious reason" for inflation in the United States is that the federal government printed way too much money that it did not have to stimulate the economy, which increased demand but supply (goods and services) could not keep up -- thus, the prices went up.
Speaking at the All-In Summit by video on Monday, Musk said, "The obvious reason for inflation is that the government printed a zillion amount of more money than it had, obviously."
"So, it's like the government can't just, you know, issue checks far in excess of revenue without there being inflation, you know, velocity of money held constant," he said. "If the federal government writes checks, they never bounce. So that is effectively creation of more dollars."
It has been over one year since Israel, once again, launched a military operation against the besieged Gaza Strip.
The May 2021 assault left 256 Palestinians dead and thousands injured, as well as damaging over 50,000 homes and destroying key infrastructure.
With each bombardment coming hot on the heels of a previous one, the residents of Gaza have struggled to repair the damage to their homes, businesses, and infrastructure before another wave of destruction reduces it to rubble again.
While attempts have been made, the handiwork of the Israeli jets and mortars is still clear to see:
The killing of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and the violent disruption of her funeral last week got a lot of attention in the U.S. mainstream, with even The Washington Post reporting that the overwhelming evidence is that Israeli forces killed Abu Akleh. As a result, the killing elicited unprecedented comment from liberal U.S. mainstream leaders.
Even Nancy Pelosi called, vaguely, for a “thorough, independent investigation” of the killing, and she was soon joined by many others in the Democratic establishment and in the liberal Zionist camp.
None of those leaders goes so far as the progressive politicians who call for investigating Israel, such as Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, Ilhan Omar, Bernie Sanders, and Andre Carson (who tweeted, “The U.S. must hold the Israeli government accountable for this and all other acts of unjust violence it commits”).
Israeli police attacked the funeral of slain Palestinian Walid al-Sharif in occupied East Jerusalem on Monday night, injuring dozens of funeral goers.
Al-Sharif, 23, was shot in the head with a rubber coated steel bullet by Israeli forces on April 22 during an Israeli assault on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the holy month of Ramadan that left dozens of people injured.
Video footage of the assault on the 22nd showed Israeli forces storming the compound and firing towards the crowds. After a shot in his direction, al-Sharif can be seen falling to the ground and lying there motionless, before Israeli forces dragged him away.
“Freedom of the press must be protected,” Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) insists in a statement released following the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. In its statement, CMEP points to Israel’s misleading public announcements following Abu Akleh’s killing and the wounding of a second reporter, Ali Samoudi.
Rev. Dr. Mae Elise Cannon, CMEP’s executive director, said, “We are deeply grieved by this news and condemn the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh. Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones. We call for an investigation and will advocate for accountability.”
Churches for Middle East Peace is a coalition of thirty national church bodies and organizations in Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, and Evangelical traditions.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) has introduced a historic resolution recognizing the Palestinian Nakba.
“As the assassination of Shireen Abu Akleh last week made all too clear, the violence and war crimes are an ongoing and ever-present assault on the existence and humanity of the Palestinian people,” said the congresswoman in a statement. “The Israeli apartheid government’s ongoing ethnic cleansing seeks to degrade Palestinian humanity and break the will of the people to be free. Fortunately, as Palestinians and their allies prove time and time again, we will persist no matter the circumstances until peace, freedom, equity and respect for all people are secured and protected.”
Footage released by the Russian military reportedly shows a Russian vessel launching a salvo of missiles into the night sky and plumes of smoke rising from a field after enemy targets are hit.
The video also shows a missile being fired into the sky from a vehicle daubed with a "Z" and another rocket being propelled at a target, which is then seen exploding.
The missiles fired from the Black Sea vessel reportedly wiped out weapons and military equipment received from abroad, in addition to killing enemy troops.
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett confirmed on Tuesday his visit to an illegal Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank, Anadolu News Agency reported.
Bennett tweeted that his visit to the settlement of Elkanan aimed “to show support” to the Israeli army. He added that the army has “freedom of action to thwart any attack attempt”.
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Tuesday welcomed a recent decision to expand Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank that the Palestinians and most of the international community view as illegal.
During a visit to the settlement of Elkana, he cast the expansion of settlements as a response to recent Palestinian violence. The Palestinians view settlement construction as the main obstacle to peace because it further undermines their hopes for an independent state on lands Israel seized through war.
“In the face of enemy violence, the Zionist answer has always been settlement, security and immigration,” Bennett said. “Last week we approved here in Elkana, to my understanding, the largest volume of construction at once, since the establishment of the town.”
Iraq: Thousands hospitalised as heavy sandstorm brings country to Leaning on his father's shoulder and walking slowly, 18-year-old Ali Mousa was at the Basra Teaching Hospital for treatment after his health condition deteriorated because of the sandstorm that hit Iraq on Monday.
Ali was not able to speak to Middle East Eye due to his breathing problem. His father, Mousa, explained the son's case.
"My son works in a restaurant. When he came back home at 3:30 pm, he told me that he could not breathe, eat or drink properly.
"I drove my car straight to the hospital and we entered the emergency department to check his condition, and the doctor told us that Ali should be admitted to the emergency room to get an oxygen mask as he suffered from breathing difficulty due to the dust storm," the father said.standstill
Lockheed Martin has been awarded two contracts totaling $309 million to produce 1,300 Javelin missile systems for the US Army.
Funded by the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act, the order will backfill US stocks provided to the Ukrainian military amid the ongoing Russian invasion.
The US has reportedly sent more than 5,000 Javelin systems to the Eastern European nation since the start of the Biden administration. Most of the deliveries have occurred after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
According to Lockheed Martin official Dave Pantano, the company is working hard to meet the increasing demand for Javelin anti-tank missiles.
Russia announced on Tuesday that it has decided to pull out of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS).
"The states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union as part of the CBSS have abandoned equal dialogue and principles on which this regional organization was created, and are consistently turning it into an instrument of anti-Russian policy," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The departure from the CBSS will not affect Russia's presence in the Baltic region and Moscow will continue to work with partners and hold events on key issues of regional development, it added.
The CBSS is an intergovernmental political forum for regional cooperation, consisting of 11 member states and the European Union before Russia's withdrawal.
While Moscow claims 959 soldiers have left the steelworks since Monday, a separatist leader says top commanders remain inside.
Mahinda Samarawickrema, 49, will not be planting paddy this season.
After a government ban on chemical fertilisers cut his rice yield in half during the March harvest, the farmer, who owns eight hectares (20 acres) of paddy and banana, said he no longer has the income to maintain a farm. Especially as his banana crop also looks set to fail.
The world’s (almost) eight billion people live under a wide variety of political and cultural circumstances. As Visual Capitalists's Nick Routley, Sabrina Fortin, and Raul Amoros detail below, in broad terms, those circumstances can be measured and presented on a sliding scale between “free” and “not free” - the subtext being that democracy lies on one end, and authoritarianism on the other.
This year’s Democracy Index report by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), is one such attempt to apply a score to countries based on how closely they measure up to democratic ideals.
According to EIU, the state of democracy is at its lowest point since the index began in 2006, blamed in part on the pandemic restrictions that saw many countries struggling to balance public health with personal freedom.
According to a report from Israel’s Channel 13, the US will participate in planned Israeli military exercises that will simulate a large-scale attack on Iran later this month as part of Israel’s month-long Chariots of Fire drills.
The Channel 13 report said that the US Air Force will take part in the exercises with refueling planes that will join Israeli jets as they simulate entering Iranian territory and carrying out repeated airstrikes.
The simulated attack on Iran will start on May 29 over the Mediterranean Sea. According to The Times of Israel, it marks the first the Israeli Air Force will practice a large-scale assault on Iran.
Israeli police attacked mourners carrying the coffin of slain Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh on May 13, 2022, beating pallbearers with batons and kicking them when they fell to the ground.
Yet those who skimmed the headlines of initial reports from several U.S. media outlets may have been left with a different impression of what happened.
“Israeli Police Clash with Mourners at Funeral Procession,” read the headline of MSNBC’s online report. The Wall Street Journal had a similar headline on its story: “Israeli Forces, Palestinians Clash in West Bank before Funeral of Journalist.”
Fox News began the text of its article with “Clashes erupted Friday in Jerusalem as mourners attended the burial of veteran American Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh who was shot dead Friday when covering a raid in the West Bank city of Jenin.”
North Korea first acknowledged an "explosive" outbreak of COVID-19 last week, with health officials instructing residents to 'gargle' saltwater to treat the virus as medical supplies remain limited and a non-existent vaccine program, Reuters reports.
Leader Kim Jong Un blasted health officials over the slow response to counter the virus and the lack of medication for not reaching people quickly. Kim had to mobilize the army's medical corps to "stabilize the supply of medicines in Pyongyang City," according to the state news agency KCNA.
On Monday, North Korean health authorities reported more than 1.2 million have been fever-stricken, with 50 deaths.
The Biden administration is poised to fully block Russian bond payments to US investors after a deadline expires next week, a move that could force Moscow into its first foreign default in a century.
The Biden administration will ease sanctions on Venezuela and its strongman President Nicolás Maduro, senior admin officials have told several media outlets, in yet another reversal of a key Trump policy. The Miami Herald is reporting that in exchange for a softening of sanctions, which have included blocking the government's access to US debt and equity markets - and have particularly targeted state-run oil company PDVSA in an oil embargo - Caracas has committed to a formal dialogue with the Venezuelan opposition in Mexico City.
During the middle of Trump's term in office, especially by 2019, it was widely reported and understood that the US had an unofficial policy of aiming at regime change in the socialist Latin American country. It's been no less than three years since the US ceased formal diplomatic relations with Caracas.
Last week, Costa Rica declared a state of emergency after a Conti Group ransomware attack infected government computer networks. Now, the ransomware gang responsible for the attack said its objective is to overthrow the government, according to AP News.
On Monday, newly elected President Rodrigo Chaves told reporters that the Russian-speaking cyber gang had increased ransom payment to $20 million. He said the ransomware had impacted 27 government institutions, including federal agencies, state-run utilities, and municipalities.
"We are at war, and that's not an exaggeration," Chaves said, adding officials believe they're dealing with a national terrorist group with collaborators inside Costa Rica.
Day 1 of the Michael Sussmann trial is a wrap.
It started with disclosure by Special Counsel DeFilippis informing the Court that government witness Dr. Manos Antonakakis (identified as Researcher-1 in the Sussmann indictment) “has decided to invoke his Fifth Amendment right.” He would not be called to the stand. More background on Manos here.
From there it was time for opening statements.
Special Counsel Brittain Shaw made clear that this case is “about privilege: the privilege of a well-connected D.C. lawyer with access to the highest levels of the FBI; the privilege of a lawyer who thought that he could lie to the FBI without consequences.” Using that privilege, Sussmann:
“went straight to the FBI general counsel's office, the FBI's top lawyer. He then sat across from that lawyer and lied to him. He told a lie that was designed to achieve a political end, a lie that was designed to inject the FBI into a presidential election.”
Dozens of local, state, and federal agencies have begun conducting "a major radiological incident exercise" in Austin, Texas.
The Cobalt Magnet 22 exercise is led by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration in partnership with the Austin Homeland Security and Emergency Management Office, bringing 30 agencies together in a field training exercise to combat threats of radiological attacks
According to OPEC, the oil markets are so askew at the moment that adding capacity would fail to materially stave off high prices.
Saudi Arabia’s energy minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, has said there are “physical impediments that no producer can solve” at work right now in the oil market, according to the Financial Post/Bloomberg.
The move shows OPEC posturing up at a time when U.S. lawmakers have been rushing to try and solve the problem of exploding gas prices. Bin Salman's comments come at a time when exports out of Russia, a major player on the global oil and gas stage, have been disrupted.
An op-ed in CNN this week has called on NATO to expel Turkey if it doesn't agree to admit new applicants Finland and Sweden into the Western military alliance. Ankara has so far appeared to slam the door on the prospect, calling the Scandinavian nations "terror supporters" over the outlawed Kurdish PKK issue.
The piece by David Andelman, a member of the influential Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), begins by lashing out at both Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Hungary's Viktor Orbán. "Russian President Vladimir Putin has just enough allies in just enough places to throw a wrench in the efforts of Western alliances to thwart his ambitions -- deepening the wedge between member states that suits his purposes to a tee," it begins.
Joe Biden on Tuesday called on all Americans to reject "replacement theory," even though he himself advanced it just a few years ago as a demographic reality that's a "source of our strength."
"I believe anybody who echoes replacement theory is to blame -- not for this particular crime -- but it's for no purpose, no purpose except profit and/or political benefit. And it's wrong, it's just simply wrong," Biden told reporters while preparing to leave for Buffalo.
“2000 Mules” will play at 400 theaters starting on Friday.
Investigative reporter Christopher Rufo on Tuesday revealed the School District of Philadelphia encouraged teachers to attend a transgender conference on “kink,” “BDSM,” “trans sex,” “bigger dick energy,” and “banging beyond binaries.”
“The Mazzoni Center, which hosted the conference, received $5 million in taxpayer dollars last year and has worked with the school district on sex-health research and sexuality programs for students, and the district’s director of teacher leadership sits on Mazzoni’s board.” Christopher Rufo exclusively reported.
The conference took place in July 2021 and was supposed to be a way to “learn more about the issues facing the trans community.”
However, Christopher Rufo reveals the conference went far beyond that.
It is unclear how many teachers attended the child grooming conference.
REVEALED: How YOU are paying for migrants to take charter flights: Secret taxpayer-funded trips costing tens of thousands of dollars ferry asylum seekers from border to inland cities ahead of Title 42 rush next week
Secret government charter flights paid for by taxpayer funds are quietly transporting migrants from the southern border to other cities across the U.S.
The flights, which take off from border cities like El Paso, Texas, are taking busloads of illegal aliens to various cities around the country including Jacksonville, Florida, Alexandria, Louisiana and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Lawmakers are demanding more transparency about the flights and where the migrants are going, with some state and regional leaders alleging they were not informed about the relocation plans.
In May 2020 numerous disturbing videos circulated social media showing a black Michigan man beating elderly white men and women in nursing homes.
Jaden Hayden is reportedly from Westland, Michigan and beat elderly white nursing home patients for sport.
Hayden filmed himself beating the seniors in their beds until they were bleeding.
One victim was later identified as a 75-year-old veteran.
Hayden was sent to the nursing home facility to recover from Coronavirus so not only was he abusing elderly patients, he was spreading Covid.
Hayden was arrested and charged shortly after the videos of him abusing elderly victims went viral.
Hayden’s father argued that his son is not a vicious person and that he’s a victim of the system.
The charges against Jaden Hayden were dropped this week after declaring him incompetent to face trial.
An uncomfortable truth has become obvious as anxiety over the worsening infant formula shortage grows.
For potentially millions of parents and children, it didn't have to be this way.
At birth, 1 in 5 newborns receive formula within the first couple days. By three months, less than half are exclusively breastfed.
As the shortage worsens, some babies may go without food and risk becoming malnourished while parents struggle to find formula, are unwilling to change brands or unable to create homemade remedies (which pediatricians warn against because they may not meet the nutritional needs of infants).
Breastfeeding is physiologically more advantageous to mother and child, yet breastfeeding is underutilized in this country.
The formula shortage has highlighted our collective, self-induced frailty related to feeding our infants. And part of the problem is that we are discouraged from talking about it.
The Black Lives Matter organization is sitting on tens of millions of dollars and has come under scrutiny in recent weeks because they have failed to file the appropriate paperwork associated with a non-profit.
Now we are learning that co-founder Patrisse Cullors has used funds donated to BLM to pay millions of dollars to family and friends for various reasons.
This, combined with her home purchases, makes it look like BLM was nothing more than a massive grifter scheme.
'What a load of hot air!' Parents slam Jill Biden for claiming her husband Joe is 'working around the clock' to end baby formula disaster as Abbott's factory is STILL closed and foreign products not shipped in
Outraged parents are slamming First Lady Jill Biden for her patronizing public service announcement defending her husband's response to the nationwide baby formula shortage.
She claimed President Joe Biden is 'working around the clock' to get concerned parents the products they need and then applauded caregivers for 'doing an incredible job.'
'Becoming a mom or dad means falling in love deeper than you ever thought possible and in those first few months of sleepless nights, of endless diapers and dirty dishes…and worrying about every little danger, your love can feel like the only thing that keeps you going,' Dr. Biden, 70, said in Tuesday's PSA.
Tucker Carlson has fired back at Joe Biden after he claimed Democrats are set on changing the demographics of the electorate in order to win elections.
During his Fox segment on Tuesday, the media pundit played a 2015 clip of the then-Vice President's remarks at a White House conference on battling global extremism.
Biden says: 'An unrelenting stream of immigration, nonstop, nonstop. Folks like me, who are Caucasian of European descent for the first time in 2017 will be in an absolute minority in the United States of America, absolute minority.'
The foundation started by organizers of the Black Lives Matter movement spent more than $1.2 million lobbying members of Congress last year, including a push to impeach Donald Trump a second time, new tax filings show.
The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation on Tuesday released a 63-page Form 990, covering the fiscal year from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, at which point the group had $42 million in net assets.
The filing shows that the group's lobbying spending was devoted in part to 'lobby member[s] of Congress to vote in favor of impeachment.'
Hillary Clinton lawyer 'lied to the FBI' on behalf of her campaign and wanted to spark an 'October Surprise' to embarrass Trump as voters headed to the polls, prosecutors say on first day of Durham's Russia probe trial
The first trial to emerge from Special Counsel John Durham's probe finally got underway Tuesday – as prosecutors accused former Hillary Clinton lawyer Michael Sussmann of trying to engineer an 'October surprise' when he sought out a top FBI official to discuss an allegation about Trump and Russia.
The allegation didn't pan out, but the meeting itself constituted an effort to 'use and manipulate' federal law enforcement for political ends, prosecutors argued.
Sussmann's defense team argued he was forthright when he acted on his own to bring information to authorities, and said the intervention did not benefit the Clinton camp in any way.
One of the oldest Catholic dioceses in the United States announced a settlement agreement on Tuesday to resolve a bankruptcy case in New Mexico that resulted from a clergy sex abuse scandal.
The tentative deal totals $121.5 million and would involve about 375 claimants.
The proposed settlement comes as the Catholic Church continues to wrestles with a sex abuse and cover-up scandal that has spanned the globe.
Facebook's 'fake news': Social media giant planted op-eds in newspapers and ran TV ads across the US via shadowy lobbying group it secretly funded to defend it from politicians calling for greater regulation
A lobbying group secretly funded by Facebook has been perpetrating the fake news narrative by planting stories in newspapers across the US and manipulating the media.
American Edge, a political advocacy group founded by the social media giant, has launched a campaign attacking the Senate-backed antitrust legislation aimed to expand competition in the tech industry.
The organization has commissioned studies, placed op-eds in local papers and collaborated with various partners - such as minority business associations, former national security officials and conservative groups - to slam the bill, The Washington Post revealed Tuesday.
After recent changes on the front lines in eastern Ukraine, fighting continues in the same areas. Russian forces adhere to the tactics of pounding enemy positions with artillery and aircraft before advancing deep into the Ukrainian defense. The AFU are attempting to counterattack, quite successfully in some sectors of the front.
Amid battles on the front lines, Ukrainian troops continue senseless shelling of civilians in the People’s republics as well as in Russia.
On May 11, the AFU launched an artillery strike on the Russian village of Solokhi in the Belgorod region. As a result of the attack, 1 civilian was killed and seven others were injured. In response, Russian troops launched several strikes on the positions of Ukrainian forces in the Chernihiv region.
Explosions were also heard in the village of Dubovoye in the Belgorod region. There were reports of shooting at the border near the village of Shebekino.
As a result of another shelling of the city of Donetsk by the Ukrainian MLRS, at least one civilian was killed. The villages of Yasinovataya and Gorlovka were also shelled by Ukrainian forces.
Meanwhile, the AFU is approaching the Russian border in the Kharkiv region.
Dementia sloughs away all the nuances of personality, leaving behind and magnifying, a few core traits. Joe Biden has a documented history of being dumb, self-centered, and mean, so those traits are now worse. Add in his neo-Marxism and the result is someone who goes to Buffalo, where a mentally ill man slaughtered ten innocent people, and Biden, instead of trying to heal wounds, spouted falsehoods and calumnies to score political points. Biden is despicable.
The speech was vintage Biden: squinting at the TelePrompter; weird inflections untethered to the content of his words; clownlike grimaces; and a generally creepy vibe. It’s easier to read the transcript.
Biden copies his mentor, Obama, by making sure he’s the central topic of any speech. For example, he explained that, when he called Kathy Hochul asking for permission to visit her state, “She said, ‘This is a big Scranton.’” Get it? Biden’s from Scranton....
And as he always does, Biden dragged in his own family tragedies, saying that “we know a little bit of what’s like [sic] to lose a piece of your soul when you lose a son, a daughter, a husband, a wife, a mother, a father.” And it’s certainly true that Biden had his fair share of loss, losing his wife and daughter in 1972 and his son, Beau, in 2015. However, Joe brings them up obsessively, to the point at which one loses any sense of his personal tragedies and hears only, “Me, me, me.” This was especially true when Biden used Beau as a shield to deflect attention from the troops who died during his disgraceful Afghanistan pullout.
President Joe Biden has finally decided to stop working with Republicans and pounce on the party of former President Donald Trump instead.
In a Politico piece Tuesday, sources told the site that there wasn't a single moment that sparked the change of course, but months of frustration, including that the GOP wouldn't work with the White House to combat inflation.
'I never expected the ultra-MAGA Republicans who seem to control the Republican Party now to have been able to control the Republican Party,' Biden said publicly last week. 'I never anticipated that happening.'
The world of 2030 — the one in which the World Economic Forum imagines “you will own nothing and be happy” — depends on an all-encompassing digital id program. This digital ID will allow a track and trace society where the authorities can see every purchase and every move you make.
One could argue much of society has already handed over this data with the ubiquitous use of credit cards which track purchases, and phones which log GPS data. However, the digital ID scheme will also be linked to a digital wallet holding the local Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), the digital currency of governments which will be needed for all legal transactions. Eventually, this digital ID and the digital wallet will be connected to, and impacted by, your individual social credit score.
As I have reported since March 2020, these initiatives were already in the works prior to COVID-19. However, it was the beginning of the COVID-19 panic that allowed governments around the world to push further towards their vision of Technocracy. For example, we have been told that use of cash should be greatly reduced or eliminated altogether because of reports claiming COVID-19 spread through dirty old money. This conveniently leads into the calls for digital currency programs such as CBDCs.
Of course, we see the push for “contact tracing” apps to track the alleged spread of disease, and vaccine passport/health passport apps have begun to acclimate the public to carrying a digital ID card with them everywhere they go. The vaccine passport is simply a gateway to a digital identity which has already been in the works in the United States, to one degree or another, since at least 2005 with the passing of the controversial REAL ID Act.
Almost three months into Russia’s war in Ukraine, there appears to be no hope that a negotiated solution will be reached anytime soon. On Tuesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said that the warring sides are not currently holding peace talks “in any form.”
“No, negotiations are not going on. Ukraine has practically withdrawn from the negotiation process,” Rudenko said, according to Interfax.
The New York Times reported on Tuesday that Vladimir Medinsky, who headed the Russian delegation in earlier negotiations with Ukraine, said Kyiv hasn’t responded to a draft peace deal Russia put forward on April 15. A Ukrainian negotiator responded to Medkinsky’s comments by saying Russia was operating with “fakes and lies.”
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization will soon conduct large-scale exercises in the Baltics, with thousands of troops from more than a dozen nations set to take part in war games just 40 miles from the nearest Russian military base.
Dubbed “Hedgehog,” the drills will kick off later this week in Estonia and run until June 3, meant to simulate a Russian invasion. They will involve 15,000 troops from 14 countries – including the United States, Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Norway, as well as non-NATO members Ukraine, Georgia, Sweden and Finland.
According to Major General Veiko-Vello Palm, deputy commander of the Estonian Defence Forces, the exercise will take place just 40 miles from a Russian military base, a facility hosting Moscow’s 76th Guards Air Assault Division in the border city of Pskov.
During the 2020 campaign, Biden sided with the far-left on issues such as defunding the police, although, to be fair, he is no longer for that, however, he used the outrage of the Black Lives Matter and AntiFa groups to chastise police. In 2022 when the nation honors fallen officers, Biden used the moment to call for unity after the racially motivated mass shooting in Buffalo.
President Biden said Sunday that hate “remains a stain on the soul of America” in the wake of a mass shooting in New York that is being investigated as a hate crime.
Biden made the remarks during a speech tributing fallen police officers during the National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service, which came a day after a gunman killed ten people, including a retired police officer, at a grocery store in Buffalo.
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) on Sunday warned Native American tribes not to establish abortion safe harbors if Roe v. Wade is overturned and his state passes a ban on abortions.
Stitt told “Fox News Sunday” there was a “possibility” tribes could establish abortion havens if his state makes most abortions illegal.
Texas will be giving a Mexican border state training in the usage of razor wire and how to deploy it to ramp up security at the U.S.-Mexican border, Texas officials told Fox News on Saturday.
The unusual agreement between Texas and the Mexican state of Coahuila — which is situated across from Eagle Pass — will involve Texas providing the Mexican authorities with c-wire (concertina/razor wire) and training on its deployment near the border.
North Korea confirmed its alleged first-ever case of Covid-19, with state media deeming it a 'severe national emergency incident' after more than two years of keeping the pandemic at bay.
State-run KCNA news agency announced samples taken from patients sick with a fever in Pyongyang on Sunday were 'consistent with' the virus' highly transmissible Omicron variant.
The country's top officials, including leader Kim Jong Un, held a crisis politburo meeting to discuss the outbreak and announced they would implement a 'maximum emergency' virus control system. KCNA reported that Kim Jong Un informed the meeting that 'the goal was to eliminate the root within the shortest period of time.'
After a spate of deadly gun violence, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot became the second Midwestern official to take a page from the martial law books of many dictators and enacted a curfew for unaccompanied minors this weekend.
The curfew will ban unaccompanied minors from a popular city park on weekend evenings, an endeavor to combat violence after Sandell Holliday, a 16-year-old boy, was fatally shot near a popular tourist attraction - a sculpture called “The Bean” - in downtown Chicago’s Millennium Park.
Milwaukee executed a similar measure for anyone under the age of 21 Saturday and Sunday night after three people were killed and 24 were injured in nine shootings across the city.
President Joe Biden is expected to make his first visit to Israel since taking office in late June. The past week has certainly given him more than enough to fill his agenda when he arrives.
When Al-Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh was gunned down in Jenin, the usual war of narratives began. Even though all eyewitness accounts unambiguously report that it was Israeli soldiers who killed Abu Akleh, and Israel’s theories trying to either blame Palestinians or blur the realities were debunked by several sources, the U.S. continues to support an investigation led by Israel and insists that the situation remains unclear.
The government in Tel Aviv is clearly confident that any reaction from the Biden Administration will be tempered, and above all Washington ’s support — to the tune of $3 billion in aid annually, mostly military — won’t be affected by its actions. Officials there have good reason to be, if the past is any indication. Yet, it may be harder to maintain the pretense that facts on the ground are ambiguous when the whole world watched in horror as Israeli police attacked mourners at Abu Akleh’s funeral procession, even beating the pallbearers, and very nearly causing her casket to fall to the ground.
Thanks to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, we indeed seem to be rushing headlong into a major war—possibly a World War Three, possibly the world’s first (and perhaps last) nuclear war. Ukraine leadership and their Western backers seem hell-bent on fighting to the last man, and Vladimir Putin, as an old-school Cold Warrior, seems equally determined to press ahead until achieving “victory.” The cause seems hopeless for Ukraine, who cannot reasonably expect to prevail in an extended conflict with one of the largest militaries on Earth. At best, they may bleed Russia over a period of months or years, but only at the cost of massive blood-letting themselves. It seems that Ukraine will be the loser in this struggle, no matter what comes.
In the Western media, we are presented with a remarkably simplified storyline: Putin is an evil warmonger who simply wants to extend Russian territory; to this end, he is exploiting events in Ukraine, deploying his military ostensibly to support the Russian-speaking districts of Luhansk and Donetsk in the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine. But this is just cover, they say, for his mad quest to rebuild the Russian empire. In pursuit of his goal, he is willing to inflict any amount of material damage and kill any number of civilians. Fortunately, say our media, Putin has thus far been largely contained; the brave Ukrainian fighters are constantly “reclaiming” land, Russia’s advance has “stalled,” and indeed, Russia seems to be in danger of losing.
Duff Cooper, Viscount Norwich, was the only British minister who resigned over the Munich Agreement of 1938. His autobiography was titled Old Men Forget.
I expect they do, but I remember.
I remember when business, even large business, operated on handshakes without contracts. Business could operate this way because people in those days had good character and integrity. A person who welched on a handshake was finished in business.
I grew up when America was still America. We were taught that you had to be able to look yourself in the mirror every morning. That required that you were truthful and honorable in your relations with others.
Today you can’t look yourself in the mirror unless you have ripped off, to your financial benefit, others. Just read any of the books by Wall Street whistleblowers or government officials about how the system really operates.
Isn’t the answer to an organization, be it a tech company or an orchestra, boasting too many white participants in said activity just to fire all the white people and only hire non-whites if diversity, inclusion and equity is the primary goal?
Why spill so many needless words when the solution is just to ban the hiring of white people, and fire all whites currently employed in the field were whites have been declared disproportionately privileged, and the dearth of blacks can only be blamed on racism, structural inequality, and implicit bias. [U.S. orchestras are still mostly white. Here’s how to change that, Dallas Morning News, May 4, 2022]:
The man arrested in the shooting of three women at an Asian-run hair salon in Dallas last week reportedly had panic attacks and delusions when he was around anyone of Asian descent, police said Tuesday.
Jeremy Smith, 36, began experiencing the hallucinations after getting into a car accident with an Asian American man two years ago, Chief Eddie García told reporters. Smith was arrested early Tuesday and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, while the FBI opened a federal hate-crime investigation into the attack.
Police initially said they had determined that the shooting was not a hate crime but later said it may have been motivated by racism. Two other recent shootings at Asian-run businesses in Dallas have led investigators to conclude that the three assaults may have been connected.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) tested positive for the Chinese coronavirus, her office said in a statement on Monday, despite her status as both vaccinated and boosted.
“Statement: Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee tested positive for COVID. She is fully vaccinated and has received her boosters,” an update posted to Twitter reads. The statement suggests the congresswoman has been quadruple vaccinated, assuming she received the traditional two-dose series and later received “boosters,” per the statement.
Despite her positive results, the congresswoman is continuing to urge individuals to get both vaccinated and boosted.
A huge thank you to all the suggestions, and support that is pouring in. I will return to the RBN radio show as soon as possible!
