White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre struggled to come up with a good explanation as to why President Joe Biden has failed to refill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as he promised.

During a briefing with reporters on Wednesday, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy brought up Biden’s promise to refill the SFR, which he said he was draining to compensate for the increase in gas prices.

Webmaster addition: If Biden were to start refilling the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, prices would go up in an election campaign already crippled by Bidenomics!

Two articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas were killed in the Senate on Wednesday after the upper chamber deemed the articles of impeachment unconstitutional.

The impeachment trial proceedings have been followed by warnings from Republicans that vulnerable Senate Democrats would face heavy consequences in the November general elections for their votes.

In a joint statement, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Senate Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) and Republican conference Chairwoman (R-NY) said, “The American people will hold Senate Democrats accountable for this shameful display.”

Republican Conference Chairman John Barrasso (R-WY) also made a statement, saying, “Every Democrat will pay a heavy price in November for willfully refusing to end this border crisis.”

“History will not be forgiving of Democrats’ decision to table this hearing. The American people will hold Mayorkas accountable at the ballot box this November,” Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KN) said in his statement.

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called for the execution of Palestinians to make room in Israel’s overcrowded prisons.

Ben Gvir, leader of the hardline Jewish Power party, said he was happy that the Israeli government approved a construction plan to expand prisons but said the best solution would be the death penalty.

“The additional construction will allow the prison service to take in more terrorists, and will bring a partial solution to the prison crisis that exists in the Shabak,” Ben Gvir wrote on X. “The death penalty for terrorists is the right solution to the incarceration problem, until then – glad that the government approved the proposal I brought.”

According to Middle East Eye, the Israeli Public Defender’s Office published a report that said some Israeli prisons have been declared in a state of emergency due to “intolerable overcrowding” and poor conditions. Thousands of Palestinians have been detained in Gaza since October 7, and many have reported severe abuse.

As Israel’s national security minister, Ben Gvir oversees the Israeli Prison Service. He has been pushing for a bill that would mandate the death penalty for Palestinians found guilty of terrorism in Israeli courts.

Ben Gvir is also in charge of Israeli police and border police. Back in February, he said Israeli forces should be able to shoot Palestinian women and children in Gaza who get too close to the border. “We cannot have women and children getting close to the border… anyone who gets near must get a bullet [in his head],” he said.

Claire's Observations:  Somewhere in the deepest bowels of hell, Mengele and Hitler are laughing, dancing, and high-fiving each other, saying "The absolutely didn't get it, did they?!?  After all those centuries of persecution, false accusations, and evictions from their homelands, now they do the same thing to the Palestinians over one of the most contested, tiny pieces of real estate on the whole planet. And they are creating a massive attempted genocide against all Palestinians who are still breathing!!  This is fantastic!!"

(Ahem)  To the Israeli leadership whose underlings are reading this site, it would be very good right now to remember the following;  Those who do not understand history, are doomed to repeat it."

Please look at the  history of your own people and learn, I beg of you.  Historically, borders and countries ebb and flow.   I would love to see Israel grow and prosper, but NOT through a genocide which decreases your own chances of surviving as a country.

In this first battle of the American Revolution, Massachusetts colonists defied British authority, outnumbered and outfought the Redcoats, and embarked on a lengthy war to earn their independence.

How It Ended

American victory. The British marched into Lexington and Concord intending to suppress the possibility of rebellion by seizing weapons from the colonists. Instead, their actions sparked the first battle of the Revolutionary War. The colonists’ intricate alarm system summoned local militia companies, enabling them to successfully counter the British threat.

In Context

Thomas Gage was appointed Royal Governor of Massachusetts in 1774 and tasked by the British Parliament with stamping out rising unrest caused by restrictive British policies. Gage inflamed tensions between the colonies and the mother country and practiced harsh enforcement of British law. He drafted the Coercive Acts, a series of laws intended to punish colonists for deeds of defiance against the King, such as the Boston Tea Party.

By April 1775, Gage was facing the threat of outright rebellion. He hoped to prevent violence by ordering the seizure of weapons and powder being stored in Concord, Massachusetts, twenty miles northwest of Boston. But he underestimated the courage and determination of the colonists. Patriot spies got wind of Gage’s plan. On the evening of April 18, Paul Revere and other riders raised the alarm that British regulars were on their way to Concord. Minute Men and militias rushed to confront them early on April 19. Though it is uncertain who actually fired the first shot that day, it reverberated throughout history. Eight years of war followed, and those who stood their ground against Gage’s troops eventually earned independence from Britain and became citizens of the democratic United States of America.

Webmaster addition:

Short version: The government tried to seize the peoples' guns. The people shot the government. This is why we have a Second Amendment!

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms. . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." -- Thomas Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774-1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764

"When any nation mistrusts its citizens with guns it is sending a clear message. It no longer trusts its citizens with guns because such a government has evil plans." -- George Washington

"We The people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courts, not to overthrow the Constitition but to overthrow the men who would pervert the Constitution." -- Abraham Lincoln

"You won't get gun control by disarming law-abiding citizens. There's only one way to get real gun control: Disarm the thugs and the criminals, lock them up and if you don't actually throw away the key, at least lose it for a long time... It's a nasty truth, but those who seek to inflict harm are not fazed by gun controllers. I happen to know this from personal experience." -- Ronald Reagan

The wounded BATF man has been tentatively identified as BATF gent who shot himself in the leg while climbing a ladder. Note that he is being assisted from the area in full view of the upper floor windows of the church, apparently unconcerned with the possibility of gunfire from the occupants of the church.

The vehicle at the right is the horse trailer in which the BATF agents arrived for the raid. The top of it is canvas. It also shows no signs of any bullet holes, even though the Branch Davidians, had the been so inclined, would have been well advised to shoot through it to the BATF agents inside, and later, hiding behind.

The public has been told that the members of the church had .50 caliber rifles. Had they used them, the cars and trucks would have not stopped the bullets and there would be bullet holes on the sides of the vehicles facing the cameras where the rounds exited.

In short, there is nothing in these photos to support the suggestion that the members of the church were actually firing on the BATF at this point in the raid, let alone that the members of the church fired first.

There are many problems with the official story of the bombing. Let's start with McVeigh's whereabouts on April 17.

McVeigh had been filmed by a security camera at a nearby McDonald's 24 minutes before the time stamped on the truck rental agreement, wearing clothes that did not match either of the men seen at Elliott's.

There is no plausible explanation of how he traveled the mile and a quarter from McDonald's to the rental agency, carless and alone as he claims, without getting soaked in the rain.

The three people interviewed agreed John Does 1 and 2 were dry. According to Stephen Jones, who has seen the interview transcripts, it took 44 days for the FBI to convince the car rental agency owner that John Doe 1 was Timothy McVeigh. And in the end they did not dare put him on the witness stand, for fear of what might happen under cross-examination.

There is also an unanswered question with regard to the truck, namely what was the Army doing with a Ryder Truck just before the Murrah blast?

The mother of a 12-year-old girl who was pulled from her wheelchair and beaten by bullies in a horrifying attack is speaking out about the abuse.

Footage of two disturbing attacks on the 12-year-old in the bathroom and an elevator at Conway Middle School in Orlando show her being dragged around like a rag doll and shoved onto the cold tile floor in an attack filmed by fellow students.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, her mother revealed that she had been bullied for weeks by the same girls.

DailyMail.com has decided not to publish the disturbing footage.

'I'm sickened to see that video, I keep thinking about, what if she was paralyzed or never woke up?' she said.

'I'm mad and I'm disappointed, how can I drop my daughter off every day and not wonder what could happen? She's defenseless, she can't walk.'

“Whether he wrote DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER, or whether he refrained from writing it, made no difference … The Thought Police would get him just the same … the arrests invariably happened at night … In the vast majority of cases there was no trial, no report of the arrest. People simply disappeared, always during the night. Your name was removed from the registers, every record of everything you had ever done was wiped out, your one-time existence was denied and then forgotten. You were abolished, annihilated: vaporized was the usual word.”—George Orwell, 1984

The government long ago sold us out to the highest bidder.

The highest bidder, by the way, has always been the Deep State.

What’s playing out now with the highly politicized tug-of-war over whether Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act gets reauthorized by Congress doesn’t just sell us out, it makes us slaves of the Deep State.

Read the fine print: it’s a doozy.

Just as the USA Patriot was perverted from its stated intent to fight terrorism abroad and was instead used to covertly crack down on the American people (allowing government agencies to secretly track Americans’ financial activities, monitor their communications, and carry out wide-ranging surveillance on them), Section 702 has been used as an end-run around the Constitution to allow the government to collect the actual content of your conversations (phone calls, text messages, video chats, emails and other electronic communication) without a warrant.

Now intelligence officials are pushing to dramatically expand the government’s spying powers, effectively giving the government unbridled authority to force millions of Americans to spy on its behalf.

Basically, the Deep State wants to turn the American people into extensions of Big Brother.

As Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) explains:

If you have access to any communications, the government can force you to help it spy. That means anyone with access to a server, a wire, a cable box, a Wi-Fi router, a phone, or a computer. So think for a moment about the millions of Americans who work in buildings and offices in which communications are stored or pass through.

After all, every office building in America has data cables running through it. The people are not just the engineers who install, maintain, and repair our communications infrastructure; there are countless others who could be forced to help the government spy, including those who clean offices and guard buildings. If this provision is enacted, the government can deputize any of these people against their will, and force them in effect to become what amounts to an agent for Big Brother—for example, by forcing an employee to insert a USB thumb drive into a server at an office they clean or guard at night.

The true scale of the number of medical trials using infected blood products on children in the 1970s and 80s has been revealed by documents seen by BBC News.

They reveal a secret world of unsafe clinical testing involving children in the UK, as doctors placed research goals ahead of patients' needs.

They continued for more than 15 years, involved hundreds of people, and infected most with hepatitis C and HIV.

One surviving patient told the BBC he was treated like a "guinea pig".

The trials involved children with blood clotting disorders, when families had often not consented to them taking part. The majority of the children who enrolled are now dead.

There was another part to that interview that wasn't in the initial story I saw reported. And this is typical snippy Joe Biden who doesn't like to be challenged by reality, going off again when a reporter appears to challenge him and suggest he may not be as popular as he believes himself to be.

"When you drive around the area, you see a lot of Trump signs, not very many Biden signs," the reporter Reshad Hudson said to him. "Do you feel like you're in trouble here?"

Iran has hinted it could build a nuclear weapon if Benjamin Netanyahu strikes Tehran's atomic sites - and target Israel's own nuclear facilities in response.

A senior Revolutionary Guards general said Iran could review its 'nuclear doctrine' in the event of an Israeli strike on Tehran's atomic facilities.

The comments represent the first time Iran has explicitly mentioned its suspected nuclear weapons programme since Tehran's unprecedented weekend attack that saw Iran launch more than 300 missiles at Israel.

They also appear to be anticipating retaliation for the attack.

The Florida Supreme Court issued a long-awaited ruling on April 1, upholding a 15-week abortion ban that was signed into law in 2022. The ruling paved the way for a six-week abortion ban to take effect on May 1.

Image removed.(Illustration by The Epoch Times, Shutterstock)

A second ruling on the same day allowed an initiative to amend the state constitution to guarantee abortion access to be placed before voters. An abortion advocacy group had already secured the required signatures, so a constitutional question on abortion will be on the Florida ballot in November.

Barely a week later, the Arizona Supreme Court upheld an 1864 law banning nearly all abortions in the state. Three days later, the Biden campaign initiated a seven-figure ad buy in the Grand Canyon State, including a billboard that reads, “Abortion is banned in Arizona thanks to Donald Trump. He won’t stop until it’s banned nationwide. #TrumpsAbortionBan.”

Democrats are leveraging abortion as a central issue in the 2024 election, and they are waging that campaign through ballot initiatives in key battleground states.

The theory is simple, according to political analyst Keith Nahigian. “Ballot questions help to get more independent expenditures for ‘get out the vote’ campaigns,” he told The Epoch Times.

In Arizona, a campaign is underway for a ballot measure amending the state constitution to provide the “fundamental right” to abortion up to the point a baby could survive outside the womb, typically around 24 weeks. It also would allow later abortions to save the mother’s life or to protect her physical or mental health.

In Nevada, a petition drive is in the works to include an amendment on abortion access. In Colorado and Maryland, voters will decide on abortion-related  amendments in November.

The Democrats’ strategy heading into this election cycle was to put these measures on the ballot in every big swing state,” Phoenix-based Republican strategist Marcus Dell'Artino told The Epoch Times.

Republicans are using the same tactic with election integrity—placing related measures on the ballot in nine states, including in Arizona, Florida, and Wisconsin.

Both sides appear to believe their efforts will aid them in the fall and ballot measures themselves are a successful way to further a cause

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-MO, grilled Biden administration Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas Thursday when it was revealed that his department released the illegal migrant who would go on to murder Laken Riley due to a purported “lack of detention capacity.”

The tense exchange came one day after the Democratic-controlled Senate voted to dismiss both charges of impeachment against Mayorkas, after only a few hours of proceedings.

The Washington Times reported Thursday that the Mayorkas-led Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released Riley’s killer, Jose Ibarra, “into the U.S. because it lacked the detention space,” per the illegal Venezuelan migrant’s “confidential immigration file.”

Ibarra “was released under [Mayorkas’] power of parole, which is supposed to be used in limited cases and only when there is an urgent humanitarian need or a significant benefit to the public,” the Times added.

How best to grab power when there's no convenient emergency to use as excuse? Invent one!

That's right: if you had 'climate emergency' on your 'list of disasters to prompt mail-in balloting' bingo card, you may soon be able to cross that square off. That's because the Biden administration is reportedly renewing discussions "about potentially declaring a national climate emergency," according to Bloomberg

Such an "unprecedented" declaration could "unlock federal powers to stifle oil development", among other things, the report says.

Bloomberg reports, according to sources who requested anonymity as a final decision has not been reached, top advisers to President Joe Biden are reconsidering the possibility of declaring the emergency.

This action could lead to restrictions on crude exports, a suspension of offshore drilling, and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, sources say.

Within the White House, opinions are split on this issue. Some advisers believe that declaring a climate emergency wouldn't grant Biden sufficient new powers to enact significant changes. Others, however, contend that it could energize voters who prioritize climate issues.

“President Biden has treated the climate crisis as an emergency since day one and will continue to build a clean energy future that lowers utility bills, creates good-paying union jobs, makes our economy the envy of the world and prioritizes communities that for too long have been left behind,” said White House spokesperson Angelo Fernandez Hernandez.

Historically, U.S. presidents, including former President Donald Trump, have declared national emergencies for various reasons. A climate emergency declaration would be unprecedented and likely face legal challenges.

The Biden administration considered this in 2022 amidst a deadlock on clean-energy legislation, but shelved the idea after the Inflation Reduction Act passed. Last year, President Biden said he had effectively used his authority for climate action by imposing conservation and clean-energy measures, and this year he halted new natural gas export licenses.

Environmental groups, however, are pushing for more aggressive actions. Emergency declarations could allow the president to halt crude exports, suspend offshore drilling, and restrict oil and gas transportation

Claire's Observations:  This means, combined with one's "social credit score" your personal driving may be restricted, with "enhanced enforcement" courtesy of the coming "Driving Cops" and traffic stops in place every couple of miles.
This will kill personal transport, and make people dependent on public transportation, which is becoming ever more dangerous, as witnessed by the skyrocketing crime in New York, on trains and busses.
Are the Bidenistas and Dementocrats so insane as to do this in an election year?!? Probably not; however, if they "win"   (read:  steal) the November elections, look for such a plan to be rolled out as one of the first priorities of the 2nd Biden term.
Until and unless this happens, Mike and I are going to be driving everywhere in our 10 year old Hyundai, and adopting a Cuban mechanic!!  :-)
