Former President Donald Trump said during a Save America rally in North Carolina on Friday that President Joe Biden is “cognitively impaired” and warned that his leadership might lead the United States into World War III.
Trump’s comments on Biden’s mental capacity came during the end of his rally, when he talked about America being a “nation in decline.” Trump also delivered the end of his speech with ominous music playing in the background, as he has done at several of his rallies.
Trump hit Biden on his failed economic policies, noting a high inflation rate and poor stock market performance.
“But now, we are a nation in decline. We are a failing nation. We are a nation that has the highest inflation in 50 years and where the stock market finished the worst first half of the year since 1872,” Trump said.
He also called out Biden for promoting the Green New Deal and begging for oil from counties such as Venezuela and Saudi Arabia instead of producing oil domestically.
The referendum to join Russia currently underway in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is a historical event enabling people to exercise their right to self-determination, an observer from Italy said at a briefing in Donetsk on Saturday.
"It is an honor to me to take part in this historical referendum which has satisfied the people’s right to self-determination. I’d like to emphasize that this historical referendum you are holding here today would set a good example, say, for Scotland or Catalonia who have repeatedly attempted to determine their fate, but unfortunately, Europe has been suppressing their will. Meanwhile, Russia has welcomed this referendum here, and we are happy about it," said Gianfranco Vestuto, editor-in-chief of Russia News.
The Italian observer highlighted the friendly atmosphere at polling stations which he said was quite contrary to what Western media had been reporting. "We are being told about terror taking place here, but we can see quite an opposite picture with our own eyes," he said.
A fact check from CNN noted that President Joe Biden provided incorrect statistics about gas prices during a Friday speech.
A clip of former President Donald Trump arguing that the election of President Joe Biden would lead to a plummeting stock market circulated online on Friday after Wall Street saw a bloodbath.
President Joe Biden’s claim that AR-15s fire bullets at a velocity that is five times higher than that of other guns is being shot down by people who know guns.
The Russia-Ukraine conflict and other stories played up by major US media outlets have apparently failed to strike a nerve with many Americans, who are far more concerned about such issues as violent crime and inflation heading into the midterm congressional elections in November, a leading polling firm has revealed.
“Legacy media gaslighting has failed, massively,” Rasmussen Reports said on Saturday, citing polling showing a divergence between the topics hammered most by cable news outlets and the issues that are concerning to voters. The Ukraine crisis, in particular, has been shrugged off by many voters, failing to rank among the top dozen issues and being cited as “very important” by only one in five Americans.
By comparison, 87% of voters are “concerned” and 56% are “very concerned” about violent crime, Rasmussen reported. Other top issues include energy policy (87% concerned and 54% very concerned), high gas prices (86% and 57%), inflation (85% and 57%), the economy (84% and 55%), and illegal immigration (84% and 54%).
The Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, are holding referendums on accession to Russia from 23 to 27 September. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this week that Russia would accept any decision the people made during the referendums.
The third day of voting in referendums on joining Russia is taking place in the Donbass republics, and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
In the LPR, voter turnout for two days was 45.86 percent, in the DPR 55.05 percent, in the Kherson region, the turnout for Friday and Saturday was 31.79 percent and in the Zaporozhye region 35.54 percent.
Voting in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, as well as in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, began on Friday and will end on Tuesday.
Some 93% of people in the Zaporozhye region have voted in favor of acceding to Russia during the first day of the referendum, according to a poll, conducted by the Crimean Republican Institute of Political and Social Studies.
The poll was conducted among 500 citizens on the first day of the referendum on September 23.
On Tuesday, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, along with the Russian-controlled parts of the regions of Zaporozhye and Kherson, said that they would hold referendums on accession to Russia from 23 to 27 September.
On Wednesday morning, in a televised address, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia will do everything to ensure security at the forthcoming referendums in Donbass and other regions, which have appealed to Moscow for support.
The DPR and LPR proclaimed their independence from Ukraine in 2014 after holding referendums. In February 2022, Russia recognized the DPR and LPR as independent states and launched a military operation in Ukraine in response to calls for help from the two breakaway republics.
During Sergei Lavrov's tour of Africa in July, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni assured the Russian foreign minister that “if Russia makes mistakes then we tell them. But when they have not made a mistake we cannot be against them.”
Uganda's military would treat aggression against Russia as aggression against the African continent, Land Forces commander Muhoozi Kainerugaba has indicated.
"President Putin does not have to threaten nuclear war. We hear him. An attack on Russia is an attack on Africa!" Kainerugaba wrote in a tweet Saturday.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the British and Norwegian ambassadors on Saturday, amid anti-government protests broadly supported by the West.
The British envoy, Simon Shercliff, was asked to explain the “hostile” tone of UK-based Persian media, while Norway’s Sigvald Hauge was questioned over the “interventionist stance” of Norway’s Iranian-born parliament speaker, Masud Gharahkhani, Iran’s ISNA news agency reported on Sunday.
Shercliff was summoned over Britain’s hosting of Iran International, Manoto TV, and BBC Persian, Iran International reported. Based in London and funded by Saudi Arabia, Iran International’s pro-opposition line has drawn Tehran’s ire before, and the network has been accused of bias by its own reporters.
The ministry views these British-hosted outlets as interfering in its internal affairs.

British Prime Minister Liz Truss is drawing comparisons to Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan with her pursuit of lower taxes and higher economic growth.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton apparently did not learn from calling half of former President Donald Trump’s supporters a “basket of deplorables.”
The 2016 Democrat presidential nominee was at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin on Friday when she took it extreme and compared his rally goers at his rally in Ohio last week to Nazis, Newsweek reported.
“I remember as a young student trying to figure out, how did people get basically drawn in by Hitler?” she said. “How did that happen? And I’d watch newsreels, and I’d see this guy standing up there ranting and raving and people shouting and raising their arms. I thought what’s happened to these people, why do they believe that?
“We saw the rally in Ohio the other night,” she said. “Trump is there ranting and raving for more than an hour. And you have these rows of young men with their arms raised. I thought, what is going on? … I think it is fair to say we’re in a struggle between democracy and autocracy.”
During the Ohio rally speech, supporters of the former president raised their hands in the air and gave what looked like a pointed index-finger salute, which some speculated could represent Trump’s “America First” movement.

Russia has come out in support of India’s bid to become one of the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) – the all-powerful global body which is responsible for taking key decisions about maintaining peace and security in the world.
At present, it comprises the United States, France, Russia, China, and Great Britain.
During his speech at the UNGA, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov called for wider representation of Asian, African, and Latin American countries in the Security Council, making particular mention of New Delhi and Brazil.
“We see an opportunity to make the Security Council more democratic by having representation from African, Asian and Latin American countries. India and Brazil, in particular, are major international players and should be included as permanent members of the council,” Lavrov said in his address to the 77th United Nations General Assembly.
Earlier, in a joint statement, India and 31 other nations urged the UN to expand both the permanent and non-permanent membership of the UNSC.
Besides, New Delhi said that reforms in the UN were necessary to make it more effective and representative.
At another meeting in which foreign ministers from India, Japan, Germany, and Brazil took part, reforms of the Security Council were discussed at length.
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif) has been very vocal about his pro-abortion stance, undermining states that placed restrictions on abortions passed a certain week of pregnancy.
In a recent letter addressed to Newsom, bill AB 2223 will change a California law “in a way that radically undermines protection for newborns,” and if signed, “will allow certain forms of infanticide.”
Introduced by Assembly member Buffy Wicks, the proposed bill would do away with its current infanticide law which makes it a crime to kill a baby that was born within a year.
Pelosi, 82, was attending the Global Citizen's music festival in Central Park on Saturday night with husband Paul when Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas invited the Democrat on stage.
As the House Speaker discussed plans in Congress to cut carbon emissions, members of the audience could be heard booing Pelosi.
It is easy to find the courage necessary to support a moral position if that position benefits oneself. True moral courage, however, is proven when one chooses to support that which is morally and ethically right even when such a position is to one's one detriment.
The people of the United States find themselves in such a position right now, forced to choose between a moral and ethical position that carries with it the potential for "inconvenience", or supporting the status quo and having to admit to themselves that they are not the champions of justice they imagine themselves to be. By the end of this article, you will know for yourself which one you are.
Most folks have heard that Hawaii is a state, one of the United States of America. Most people, including those who live in Hawaii, accept that statement as a fact.
But the reality is that in a world in which nations are as bound by the rule of laws as are the citizens of nations (if not more so), the truth is quite different!
The truth is that each and every step along Hawaii's path from sovereign and independent nation, to annexed territory, to state, was done in violation of laws and treaties then in effect, without regard to the wishes of the Hawaiian people. Many people, including President Grover Cleveland, opposed the annexation of Hawaii.
But in the end, simple greed and military interest overrode any concerns of moral right and legality. Hawaii's legitimate government was toppled using threat of American military force. Hawaii was stolen from her people for the benefit of wealthy American plantation owners and military interests, and the justifications for the crime were invented after-the-fact.
Hawaii's government was overthrown on Jan. 17, 1893, by a relatively small group of men, most of them American by birth or heritage, who seized control of the Islands with the backing of American troops sent ashore from a warship in Honolulu Harbor. To this "superior force of the United States of America," Queen Lili`uokalani yielded her throne, under protest, in order to avoid bloodshed, trusting that the United States government would right the wrong that had been done to her and the Hawaiian people.
Webmaster addition: I am re-posting this story in response to Joe Biden's speech at the UN in which he declared that Russia has no right to seize territory by force. Yet that is exactly what the US Government did to Hawaii!
Americans are sick and tired of rising crime in Democrat-run cities. According to a new poll conducted by The Trafalgar Group, Democrats will feel the rejection of their failed polices in the upcoming election.

An 84-year-old pro-life volunteer was shot on Sept. 20 while going door-to-door in her community to talk about a ballot measure legalizing abortions up to birth in Michigan, the group she was volunteering with said.
The woman from Lake Odessa was speaking about Proposal 3, a proposed state constitutional amendment that would advance abortion, according to a Right to Life of Michigan (RLM) press release.
The press release said that the woman was shot in the back-shoulder area while leaving a residence during a heated conversation. The man who shot her was not involved in the conversation and the pro-life volunteer does not know his identity or motive.
RLM said that the victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, is still recovering from her gunshot wound.

More than 350,000 informational data points on Wisconsin's state voter roll are alleged to be inaccurate, according to a citizen activist.
Justin Gavery is one of about 500 volunteers who banded together nearly two years ago to work to improve voter confidence in Wisconsin elections.
Cleaning up sloppy voter registration information is one of the group's stated priorities.
Computer experts from the group produced a presentation on all of the state's 72 counties. For illustration, they focused on information from Dane and Milwaukee counties as representative of what is going on across the state.
In Dane and Milwaukee counties, the group claims to have discovered 60,000 issues they say warrant either explanation or correction.
The data shows that in Milwaukee County, 12,555 registered voters’ addresses are listed as vacant by the U.S. Postal Service.
The group’s analysis says that nearly 29,000 people in the two counties filled out a change of address form with the U.S. Postal Service saying that they moved out of state but are still on the active voter list years later.
Up to 300 foreigners fighting for Kiev against Moscow have been killed in Nikolayev Region in southern Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Saturday.
“Up to 300 militants were eliminated by a missile attack on the point of temporary deployment of foreign mercenaries in the area of the village of Kalinovka, Nikolayev Region,” the ministry’s spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, announced during his daily briefing.
A large number of foreign combatants have reportedly lost their lives fighting for Ukraine. Earlier this week, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu claimed that Russian forces and the militias of the Donbass republics had eliminated more than 2,000 foreign mercenaries.
As of September 21, 1,000 foreigners remained in the ranks of the Ukrainian military, according to the minister, whereas in April the number was estimated at 3,000. Saturday’s strike would leave only 700, by those calculations.
