"Here is the difference between religion and science.

Science is going outside your house at night and seeing here is one large moon orbiting the Earth. No matter where on Earth you are, you know there is one and only one large moon orbiting the Earth.

Religion is this tribe over here worshiping one god and this other tribe worshiping 3 gods and this other tribe way over there worshiping 17 gods." -- Michael Rivero

GAZA CITY, Palestine

Two babies died of malnutrition in the northern Gaza Strip amid an Israeli blockade, the Health Ministry in the enclave said Tuesday.

The infants lost their lives at Kamal Adwan Hospital in the city of Beit Lahia, the ministry added in a statement.

“Dehydration and malnutrition threaten the lives of thousands of children and pregnant women in the Gaza Strip,” the ministry warned.

Israel on Monday unleashed a wave of airstrikes on a location in eastern Lebanon which had yet to be targeted in the war. Several attacks were conducted on the outskirts of Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley. This area hasn't been struck by Israeli fire since the 2006 war.

Joe Biden administration officials admitted that six weeks into the undeclared war in Yemen, the US and UK strikes have failed to erode the Houthis military capabilities. The officials said the US is surprised at the Houthis’ military capabilities and that Washington has a limited understanding of how advanced their weapons systems are.

The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is increasingly turning into a famine, with reports that children in northern Gaza are particularly vulnerable.

Ongoing fighting on the Lebanon-Israel border may well get much worse, according to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Commenting on the ongoing ceasefire talks looking to at least temporarily stop the open-ended offensive against the Gaza Strip, Gallant says that Israel will “increase the fire in the north independently” if there was a pause.

Even as Israel pounds Gaza into rubble, carrying out what has been described as a genocide in the process, many of its supporters are attempting to change the subject, instead decrying a supposedly new wave of dangerous antisemitism across American universities.

The US and several other Western countries cut funding to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) after Israel claimed that several members of the organization participated in the Hamas attack on October 7. The US intelligence community has “low confidence” in the veracity of the Israeli assertions. The Washington Post reports having evidence of a single UNRWA member in Israel.
