A Republican senator blocked a Democratic-led attempt to pass legislation Tuesday that would have restored a Trump-era ban on bump stocks, an accessory that enables semi-automatic weapons to shoot at a very rapid pace, after last week's Supreme Court decision striking down the ban.

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) has come under fire for his remarks on recent Supreme Court rulings related to gun control, particularly those concerning bump stocks and the Second Amendment.

Anyone who wants to prepare themselves for home defense, riots, and looting will want to own a shotgun. There are many reasons why someone should have a shotgun available in their possession for the preparation of such events. Even if you are not interested in hunting or recreational shooting, a shotgun is always good to have for home defense purposes no matter who you are. No one likes to think that their family or property will ever be in danger, but there is always the possibility of someone trying to break into your home for whatever reason.

Video sharing platform YouTube has announced on Wednesday, June 5 that they will be making changes to the type of firearms-related content that is allowed on their platform, in what they say is an effort to prevent children from being able to view “dangerous content.” Proponents of the Second Amendment are pushing back against the new rules, which go into effect on June 18.

Joe Biden knows that the conviction of his son Hunter is a terrible look for his administration, considering the close ties that Biden and his family had to Hunter’s activities.

It’s also something that has enraged him personally, as Hunter is his only living son and he has always been able to get Hunter out of trouble at various points in his life.

The charges that Hunter was convicted on were gun charges, and it appears that Biden thinks that if Hunter was going to go down on gun charges, everyone else should too.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday invalidated a Trump-era ban on bump stocks, ruling the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives wrongly classified firearms equipped with a bump stock as machine guns.

The 6-3 opinion was authored by Justice Clarence Thomas. The court's three liberal justices, led by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, dissented.
