On February 3 the German government announced an aid package to Ukraine including 88 Leopard 1 tanks, which was valued at €100 million and will see the vehicles drawn from reserve stocks.

The Russian government has claimed that NATO’s entire network of satellites, and more broadly the alliance’s entire military infrastructure, is working to support Ukraine’s war effort. "We see how NATO’s entire military infrastructure is working against Russia, and we see how NATO’s entire intelligence infrastructure, including reconnaissance aviation, and satellite groupings are working in the interests of Ukraine in a 24/7 mode," an official statement from the Kremlin alleged on February 1.

A veterans group in Idaho is trying to prevent troops from being sent into war zones without an official declaration of war. The Defend the Guard Act would prohibit the deployment of the New Hampshire National Guard into active combat without a declaration of war by Congress.

All of Ukraine "will burn," according to a senior Russian official and Putin friend, if Kyiv employs longer-range missiles to attack Russia.

Dmitry Medvedev, who is a high-ranking official in Russia and an ally of President Vladimir Putin, has issued a warning that if Kyiv uses long-range missiles to attack Russia, then all of Ukraine will face a destructive response.

Participants in the Ukraine-EU summit, held in Kiev on February 3, will be frustrated, as the goals of Russia’s special military operation will be achieved, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement on Saturday.

 Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said the supply of more advanced U.S. weaponry to Ukraine will only trigger more retaliatory strikes from Russia, up to the extent of Russia's nuclear doctrine.

"All of Ukraine that remains under Kyiv's rule will burn," journalist Nadana Fridrikhson quoted him as saying in a written interview with her.
